Your love was like a sea
Sometimes the waves touched me sometimes they did not
I wanted it to be over.....
Sometimes you approached me
Sometimes you receded
Sometimes you pushed me
Sometimes you pulled
I wanted it to be over.....
You caused the shore sands to hold me
not tight enough to help me hold out
not loose enough to let me give in
I wanted it to be over......
Neither you let me drench fully
Nor let me stay dry
I wanted it to be over.....
You kept making me make sand houses
You kept breaking them
I wanted it to be over....
I wanted a finale
either I had to be in you and be you
or I had to dry off n vanish

This poetry was written in 2009, and since then I have learnt a lot more than what is written here. I thought of modifying it somehow as per the changing times and my own perception. But here it is.... open to creative suggestions... and I really look forward to words which can help me write it with a happier touch
....I wanted a finale..
Either I had to be you
Or I had to be me
And I chose to be me
So that you would remain 'you'
And we both could fly to 'freedom'
A place which appeared a little strange
Just a few moments ago..
But now it feels as if
I have come back home..
@Ramesh uncle: Thank you so much.... I don't have words.... yes this is it... what else... this is the way to live, and still be in love with love, to retain it's softness and beauty, not smeared by any marks of suffering. Thanks.
Regards
Don't you think 'Ramesh' would be a better address. In world of thoughts..there is no age.. for thoughts are timeless.. and boundary-less too. I appreciate you receiving what I thought I gave.. it always the receiver which is important Rashmi.. Thanks a lot! Keep connected..
@ Thanks. Sure , I can at best address you as Ramesh sir, but I can't call you Ramesh. I may be wrong but I find it disrespectful.
Regards
Poem cratfed with beautiful words and equally beautiful expressions.
@ Vishal : Thanks for the acknowledgement Vishal
beautiful.....
There are no part payments in love; no installments. I gave you myself and you kept returning it in pieces. By the time you left, you were still one and I.. was a mass of shredded heart in the pool of love.
But i am glad the finale came, coz i wanted it to be over; the daily transactions left me hanging in debit and credit.
Now i am me, balanced in my sheets, stitching those pieces back. I know i will be human again and the sea, the sands, the rains will all be mine forever. God loves me and he shall never break the string..
Oops... m sorry for writing such a long comment. But your post was lovely and I am sure the finale will be beautiful.
Kp Writing!!
P.S. thanks for the words on my blog :)
@Beyond Horizon: Thanks a lot :).
@ Richa: Your comment was poetry in itself and again gave words to my thoughts. You have a beautiful mind dear :) And yes you have the rights to write whatever length of comment you want :) Take care. I didn't write on your blog with an effort. It was spontaneous. In fact I would have had to make an effort not to write.
